Job Description/ Requirement
Responsibilities:
Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs.
Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and Synthomer’s Engineering Standards.
Responsible for development of engineering projects which includes designing equipment, understanding the reactions taking place, installing control systems, and starting, running and upgrading the processes.
Assessing processes for their relevance, and assessing the adequacy of engineering equipment;
Designing, installing and commissioning new production units, monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes;
Comply with all sites SHE policy, standards and procedures.
To supervise and ensure external contractors working in the plants adhere to the Synthomer safety rules and regulations.
Report all incidents/ near misses/unsafe acts/unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor using the AIMS reporting database
Requirements:
Possess Degree in Chemical Engineering
2 years related experience
Position requires thorough knowledge of chemical or industrial process design and engineering techniques.
Able to work independently
Initiative and mature personality
Mature and resourceful individual
Fluent in English. Mandarin speaker if possible
Strong technical background with experience in glove dipping
